About Eric

Eric Schopmeyer and Adrienne Leverette are the founders and directors of Marysville Marimba, called “the city’s most successful kid-music project” (Willamette Week). From 2000-2011, the popular program offered an after-school marimba curriculum to fourth- through eighth-graders. They have presented several workshops on marimba music for children at conferences and schools.

In addition to being an Orff-certified music teacher, Eric is a composer and performing musician, authoring many film scores and producing three albums of original music. Adrienne has degrees in clarinet performance and architecture and has also worked as a filmmaker and graphic artist. She currently works as a designer.
